Beeswax food wraps are reusable food storage covers made from organic cotton impregnated with a blend of beeswax, tree resin, and plant oils. Standard sizes range from 8"x8" (20x20cm) for small containers to 16"x16" (40x40cm) for bowls. The coating melts at 118-145°F (48-63°C) and solidifies at room temperature, creating a self-adhesive seal. Each wrap contains 40-60% beeswax by weight, 20-30% damar resin, and 10-20% jojoba/coconut oil. Properly maintained wraps last 6-12 months with weekly use when hand-washed in cool water (below 95°F/35°C) using pH-neutral soap. The materials decompose within 1-2 years in active compost systems, leaving no synthetic residues.
